Job summary

Next Door Foundation Inc. is seeking an Nutrition Service Provider Assistant Dishwasher to support daily meal service at multiple sites in Milwaukee, WI. The role follows CACFP guidelines and DPI requirements, with 10- or 12-month durations per site.

Responsibilities include meal prep, delivering meals to classrooms, and maintaining kitchen operations, while ensuring safety and compliance. Candidates should have a high school diploma and food-service experience; Serve Safe and CPR certifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Minimum six months experience in food service or related duties.
• 1 year of cooking experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license preferred; willingness to work at other sites.
• Must possess CPR certification; tuberculosis test as required.
• Caregiver Background Check must be passed.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties physically.

Responsibilities

• Assist NSPII with meal prep for children per CACFP guidelines.
• Ensure breakfast, lunch and snacks are prepared on schedule.
• Help with daily food preparation as needed.
• Prepare substitute foods for dietary accommodations.
• Store and stock food items after delivery.
• Stock food service supplies as required.
• Assemble and deliver dish tubs to classrooms.
• Wash dishes after each meal served.
• Deliver meals to classrooms.
• Set up catering events; ensure timely delivery of food and supplies.
• Work cooperatively with staff, families and the public.
• Attend all mandatory trainings.
