Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related food service experience in a commercial establishment required.
• Knowledgeable in food safety and sanitation principles preferred (training provided).
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and communication with students, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Lift and move up to 50+ lbs; stand, walk, bend, squat and climb.
• Receive vendor deliveries at 5:30 am on M, Tu, Th, F.
• Assist with large-scale food production following recipes and portion control.
• Portion and serve food; restock serving lines during meals.
• Clean and set up serving lines and kitchen areas; manage storage areas and equipment.
• Store food using proper safety procedures; assist with inventory and deliveries.
• Assist with training staff in food production, serving, or cleaning activities.
• Serve food with excellent customer service to scholars, staff, and visitors.
