Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a part-time MDS Nurse to lead the nursing team and oversee residents' care plans. This role involves planning, organizing, and evaluating activities of both professional and support staff to deliver high-quality care in a Christian environment.

The MDS Nurse uses independent judgment in assessing residents, coordinating with families and other professionals, and ensuring accurate ROIs and care plans are up to date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience as a licensed nurse working with seniors preferred.
• Current unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing or multistate license if in NLC state; required certifications and CEU as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate resident care per the resident plan of care.
• Lead RN duties and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed/unlicensed staff within scope.
• Coordinate with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary team to ensure ongoing quality of life.
