Job summary

EPIC Healthcare is hiring an MDS Coordinator in New Jersey to ensure accurate MDS assessments and regulatory compliance across residents. This role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to develop and refine care plans that reflect residents’ needs and preferences.

The position involves auditing and updating documentation, supporting regulatory inquiries, and contributing to care plan meetings with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• MDS certification preferred or ability to obtain within defined time.
• Experience in long-term care settings or with MDS assessments preferred.
• Strong understanding of MDS process, coding, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit MDS assessments for all residents in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update care plans aligned with residents' needs.
• Monitor completion of assessments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assist in audits and respond to regulatory inquiries.
• Participate in care plan meetings and provide input on residents' needs.
• Review and update clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
