Job summary

Genesis in Franklin, NH is seeking a MDS Coordinator to lead clinical assessments, care planning, and MDS transmission in compliance with federal and state regulations.

You'll coordinate Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and support billing accuracy while promoting quality patient care and regulatory adherence at our long-term care facility.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
• One year of long-term care clinical nursing experience is required.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, MDS completion, clinical resource utilization and/or case management is highly desirable.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete clinical assessments, supporting documentation, care planning and MDS transmission per federal/state regulations.
• Manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to maximize RUG categories.
• Educate the interdisciplinary team on case-mix terminology and MDS requirements.
