Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in New Hampshire is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator for our nursing center. You will coordinate and complete clinical assessments, care plans and MDS submissions in compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents with the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate reimbursement, and educate staff on MDS terminology and requirements. An active LPN license and BLS/CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current LPN licensure.
• One year of long-term care nursing experience required.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and MDS completion is desirable.
• Must maintain BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete clinical assessments and MDS submissions.
• Manage all Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents for reimbursement with the interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to maximize RUG categories.
• Communicate with the Business Office on case-mix data for billing.
• Educate the team on MDS terminology and requirements.
