Job summary

Intersect Healthcare of Hancock is seeking a skilled RN to coordinate the RAI/MDS process, ensuring accurate assessments and optimal reimbursement under Medicare/Medicaid and OBRA rules. You will lead the RAI workflow, mentor the IDT, and ensure timely transmissions and compliance across regulatory requirements.

The role involves collaboration with Accounts Receivable, leading PPS/Medicare meetings, and maintaining accurate documentation in the Point Click Care system.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Michigan is required.
• Five years of clinical experience with long-term care preferred.
• Experience with RAI process is preferred; AANAC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate OBRA/PPS regulatory data requirements and transmit MDS/RAI per regulations.
• Lead and monitor all facility RAI processes for timely completion of elements.
• Coordinate PPS/MDS processes to maximize Medicare reimbursement and ensure compliance.
• Set reference dates per CMS MDS Manual and maintain schedules for assessments.
• Coach IDT in RAI and PPS processes to improve proficiency and efficiency.
• Communicate with Accounts Receivable regarding RAI-related billing.
• Lead PPS/Medicare meetings for efficiencies and completeness.
• Proficient with ICD Coding regulations and act as super-user of Point Click Care.
• Provide monthly QAPI reports with tracking and analysis of outcomes.
• Improve 5 Star scores through coding practices and survey readiness.
