Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with active RN or LVN license.
• Complete RIHS MDS/RUGs training modules (AIS) within 90 days of employment.
• Minimum of two years health care experience; MDS completion and reimbursement knowledge preferred.
• Licensure in the state of employment.
• Coordinate RAI/MDS processes per Federal Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process for timely, accurate assessments.
• Ensure MDS/Case Mix documents support services and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and manage care plans.
• Maintain accurate MDS reference dates (ARD) and audit MDS data for validity.
• Monitor ARD references, RCCs, and MDS/QRP reports with stakeholders.
• Ensure timely electronic submission of all Minimum Data Sets (MDS).
• Provide orientation and training on RAI processes to new staff.
