Job summary

Intersect Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse to coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process in the facility, ensuring accurate assessments and compliant documentation for Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA, and other payer requirements.

You will lead the RAI workflow with the IDT, mentor staff, optimize MDS/RAI timing for timely submissions, and collaborate with Revenue Cycle to maximize reimbursement while upholding federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience; two in long-term care preferred.
• Experience with the RAI process is preferred.
• AANAC certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates OBRA, PPS, MDS, and RAI processes for accurate and compliant reimbursement.
• Leads and monitors RAI/IDT activities for timely completion of all elements.
• Coaches and mentors IDT in RAI processes and coding accuracy.
• Communicates with Accounts Receivable regarding RAI-related billing.
• Leads PPS/Medicare meetings and improves 5-Star scores through coding practices.
