Job summary

The Orchards in Detroit, MI is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator to join our team. You will oversee the MDS process and coordinate resident assessments to support quality care and compliant documentation.

You will lead staff education, conduct new hire orientation, participate in leadership meetings, and maintain competency and education records for nursing and CNA staff while safeguarding resident and facility information.

Qualifications

RN or LPN license required.
Knowledge of skilled nursing facilities survey process and regulations helpful.
Prior nurse management or education experience preferred.
Long Term Care experience required.
Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
Must be highly organized, professional & motivated.
Solid computer skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Should be friendly and a team worker.

Responsibilities

Conduct New Hire Orientation for all new hires to the facility
Conduct ad hoc and scheduled educations to nursing department and all staff as needed
Participate in the on-call rotation for the nursing team as needed
Attend and participate in leadership meetings daily, monthly, weekly, as needed
Work to maintain competency and education records for all nursing and CNA staff
Informing DON of persistent issues related to non-compliant documentation
Protecting the confidentiality of Resident & Facility information at all times
