Job summary

Avalon Health Care Inc in Aberdeen, WA is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator to manage Medicare and Managed Care residents and to oversee the OBRA assessments.

The position is on site at Grays Harbor Health and Rehab, offers $55–$63 per hour, with a $10,000 sign-on for full-time, and both full-time or part-time options. Nursing license required; on-site facility.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, active RN license in state of practice.
• Must be well-versed in inter-personal communications.
• Must be familiar with the RAI process and Case Management.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• The Resident Assessment Coordinator will oversee Medicare and Managed Care residents as directed by the Resident Assessment Director.
• Oversee service during inpatient stay from admission to discharge.
• Ensure accurate and timely OBRA assessments.
• Serve as a key financial and clinical member of the management team.
• Not subject to nursing call schedules.

This position will not be subject to nursing “call” schedules.
