Summary

MDS Coordinator (RN or LPN) - HYBRID Position

LPNs with strong MDS experience will be considered.

With a long history of compassionate service to residents of central Maryland, Stella Maris is a recognized leader in skilled nursing care, including outpatient and short-term rehabilitation. Our nursing home is located on a beautiful campus in Timonium, MD.

About the Role

The Stella Maris MDS department is looking to add a new team member. This is a great opportunity to work with an experienced MDS team, grow your skills, and contribute to Stella Maris's mission.

Full-Time or Part-Time

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and coordinate resident assessment data collection for Medicare reimbursement.
  • Use clinical assessment skills and chart review to identify resident status accurately. Recognize clinical changes and ensure appropriate MDS assessments are performed.
  • Maintain resident assessment schedules in accordance with regulatory standards, in coordination with rehab representatives.
  • Input MDS data accurately and transmit it following regulatory standards. Keep precise records.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers and external agencies to meet authorization and update requirements. Respond promptly to denials to ensure reimbursement.
  • Maintain weekly utilization review documentation and prepare Medicare documentation.
