Overview

The ideal MDS float candidate is detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable providing bedside assessments and meeting with families. The ability to travel Monday through Friday is essential.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate staff, and implement programs related to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QMs), Medicaid Casemix, and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with the Clinical Reimbursement Specialist during onboarding of new MDS Coordinators.
• Demonstrate competency in RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and Medicaid Case Mix when applicable.

What You Need to Make a Difference

• Current RN licensure with the ability to obtain multi-state licenses.
• Minimum of five (5) years of MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• 80% - 90% travel with overnight stays, including 3-12 hour shifts during weekdays or weekends.
