Job summary

Goldwater Care seeks an MDS Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation for proper reimbursement. The role conducts ongoing MDS reviews to maximize RUG category and coordinates interdisciplinary input for each resident’s MDS submission.

The ideal candidate holds an RN or LPN license, has Long Term Care experience, and is proficient in English to communicate across disciplines and with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN licensure required.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assess and determine health status and care level for new admissions.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary participation to complete MDS within regulatory time frames.
• Maintain schedule and reference dates for all MDS assessments.
• Enter and submit MDS data accurately and maintain records.
