Spring River Rehabilitation and Care Center in Roswell, NM seeks an experienced MDS Coordinator to oversee the Resident Assessment Instrument process, ensuring accurate MDS assessments, care planning, and regulatory submissions.

The role emphasizes reimbursement integrity, QAPI participation, and data-driven decisions, working closely with nursing and IDT teams to maintain high-quality care and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in New Mexico.
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience, preferably in long-term care.
• MDS experience with understanding of MDS 3.0, PDPM, and RAI process.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and Quality Measures.
• Experience with audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in EHR and MDS software systems.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the RAI process, including MDS assessments and interdisciplinary care plans.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion/submission of all MDS assessments in CMS and state compliance.
• Audit clinical documentation to support accurate coding and reimbursement.
• Maintain ARD scheduling and ensure adherence to regulatory timelines.
• Collaborate with billing, therapy, and finance teams for alignment on reimbursement.
• Lead interdisciplinary care plan meetings and educate staff on documentation requirements.
