A few details about the role:

1. Participate with members of the interdisciplinary team to review, plan, coordinate, and evaluate residents' care.
2. Document the residents' condition and nursing needs accurately and promptly. Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents in a timely manner.
3. Oversee and provide leadership and discipline to licensed practical nurses and certified nursing aides. Develop, direct, and monitor nursing assistant assignments, adjusting based on census and level of care required.
4. Execute treatments as necessary, document status, and observe reactions to medications and treatments.
5. Initiate physician orders, verify all orders received are transcribed accurately in electronic records and treatment plans, administer medications, and provide treatments according to orders.
6. Facilitate communication with families regarding changes in medications and/or resident conditions.
7. Establish protocols to ensure care plans are continually reviewed for updated and accurate data that reflects the individuality of the resident.

• Nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing from an accredited program is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• One-year experience working in a long-term care facility.
• Certifications, Registered Nurse license, and other licensure required by state regulations.
