Job summary

Kronospan in Anniston, Alabama is seeking a Process Engineer for the MDF production plant. The role focuses on monitoring, controlling, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient production that meets customer specifications.

The position emphasizes process stability, product quality, and cost reduction through data analysis, trials, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Technical Services teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technical Process, or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and analytical abilities are required.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze product quality across the MDF process.
• Ensure MDF products meet internal and customer quality standards.
• Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain process quality plans.
• Monitor critical quality parameters and analyze trends.
• Lead process improvement projects across MDF manufacturing.
• Design, plan and execute trials to improve quality, productivity, safety and cost.
• Evaluate trial results with statistical analysis and document recommendations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new materials and technologies.
• Support implementation of approved process changes and new manufacturing practices.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve plant capacity and efficiency.
• Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and other improvement programs.
