Job summary
Kronospan is seeking a dedicated packaging technician to safely operate packaging and banding equipment for MDF/HDF products. You will perform basic maintenance and assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance while identifying any product issues.
Ideal candidates read technical instructions, operate heavy machinery, and work well with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This is a rotating shift role with growth opportunities and competitive benefits.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand technical work instructions.
- Experience operating heavy machinery.
- Ability to use electric, pneumatic, or hand tools.
- Forklift operation certification on training.
- Ability to read metric measurements.
- Ability to collaborate with facility team.
- Ability to work without constant supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills, individually or in a group.
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to meet physical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate packaging and banding equipment to package MDF/HDF.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning on machinery and workspaces.
- Identify unacceptable product conditions and initiate corrective action.
- Assist maintenance with troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance.
