The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program Manager. While this position has been located in Helena, any location within the State of Montana will be considered. This position administers the MCSAP (Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program) and interprets rules and regulations for other state agencies. This includes day-to-day operations of the MCSAP program for the State of Montana and coordinating all compliance and law enforcement agency efforts. This position manages, directs and coordinates the operation of the MCSAP Program and Section through personnel management, monitoring and assuring the MDT/MCS and sections remain compliant with grant program and federal regulations, state laws, and department and division policies. Responsible for preparing, coordinating and implementing Montana’s Commercial Vehicle Safety Plan (CVSP). Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
4 years of work-related experience and 2 years of supervision or team lead experience.
