Job summary

Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is seeking a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program Manager. The role oversees the MCSAP, interprets agency rules, and coordinates compliance with law enforcement partners. It reports to the MCS Administrator, supervising 3 employees directly and 8 indirectly.

The position may be located anywhere in Montana, with duties including program direction, grants coordination, and ensuring CVSP compliance and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Law Enforcement, or related field.
• 4 years of work-related experience and 2 years of supervision or team lead experience.
• Combinations of additional related work experience and education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Administer the MCSAP program for the State of Montana and interpret rules for other agencies.
• Coordinate compliance and law enforcement agency efforts.
• Manage and direct MCSAP program operations and personnel.
