Job summary

Minneapolis Marriott Southwest is seeking a friendly MClub Attendant for a part-time morning shift in Minnetonka, MN. You will help create memorable dining experiences through attentive service and menu guidance.

Requirements include 6+ months of server experience, strong English communication, and a passion for hospitality and food & beverage. Marriott brand familiarity is a plus, with opportunities for growth through our Management Development Program.

Qualifications

• 6+ months server experience.
• Marriott brand experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of retail math or cash handling.
• Passion for culinary arts, food and beverage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm during peak hours.
• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with emphasis on sanitation and order.
• Attend to guests as they enter the restaurant.
• Present menus; know menu contents, recipes and offerings.
• Verify guests' IDs to ensure proper alcohol service.
• Know daily specials and price points; assist guests accordingly.
• Cooperate with service and kitchen staff.
• Follow health dept rules and customer service guidelines.
• Dress in event staff uniform; maintain professional appearance.
• Act with integrity in every decision.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers upon entrance to the restaurant
• Present menus and be knowledgeable of menu contents, recipes, and restaurant offerings
• Verify guests' identification to ensure they meet age requirements for alcohol consumption
• Have basic knowledge of menu prices, composition of items, preparation techniques, and time of preparation. Must be familiar with daily specials and offers to guests
• Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
• Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
• Dress in appropriate event staff uniform at all times, while also maintaining professional appearance
• Act with the highest level of integrity in every decision

Requirements:

• Prior 6+ months server experience
• Marriott brand experience is beneficial
• Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
• A genuine passion for the culinary arts, food, and beverage, with a willingness to continuously learn and grow
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine connections with guests and colleagues
• Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure, ensuring efficient service even during peak dining hour
• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently

Pay rate: $19.00 per hour
