Job summary

Courtyard San Diego Mission Valley/Hotel Circle is seeking a Banquet Set-up/Server in San Diego, CA. You will set up banquet tables, serve food and drinks, and ensure a smooth guest experience according to hotel standards.

We value enthusiasm and teamwork; you must be at least 21 to serve alcohol and have 1 year of banquet/restaurant server experience. On-call availability and basic AV knowledge are also required. Compensation is $18.00 per hour including gratuity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 1 year experience as a Restaurant or Banquet Food Server.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests and staff.
• Available to work an on-call schedule for banquet events.
• Basic AV knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet tables and service beverages and food to guest tables according to hotel specifications.
• Take beverage orders and collect payments where specified.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Read and follow Banquet Event Orders and carry out the instructions given on the Banquet Event Orders.
• Work well with co-workers as part of a team.

Set up banquet tables, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non‑alcoholic beverages and food to guest tables according to hotel specifications and group requirements, courteously and efficiently. Take beverage orders and collect payments where specified. Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment. Read and understand Banquet Event Orders and carry out the instructions given on the Banquet Event Orders. Work well with co‑workers as part of a team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 1 year experience as a Restaurant or Banquet Food Server.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co‑workers to their understanding.
• Able to work an on‑call schedule for banquet events.
• Basic AV knowledge.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour including gratuity
