Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced MBSE Systems Tools Developer to lead the MBSE toolchain strategy and pilots, collaborating with GM IT and engineering teams to deliver scalable, traceable tool integrations. You will own requirements, data ownership, and support for the toolchain while shaping the automation roadmap.

The role requires 5+ years in systems engineering or engineering data management, plus hands-on experience with Cameo, Rhapsody, DOORS Next Gen, and Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, engineering tools development, or software integration.
• Experience with APIs, data exchange, automation, scripting, databases, or similar integration methods.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the MBSE toolchain strategy, environments, access, issues, roadmap, and user support.
• Lead pilots of MBSE toolchains (Cameo, IBM Rhapsody) and deployable capabilities.
• Develop and troubleshoot integrations with GM systems (DOORS Next Gen, ETM, Teamcenter, ARID, GM FIT).
• Define data ownership, traceability, configuration control, and automation requirements.
• Create training materials and serve as the main technical contact for MBSE tools.
• Run MBSE toolchain Program Integration Team meetings and manage budgets with IT.
