Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced MBSE Systems Tools Developer for Advanced Vehicle Development. You will coordinate the MBSE toolchain, lead pilots using Cameo and IBM Rhapsody, and enable teams by building integrations with GM systems like DOORS Next Gen and ETM.

This role bridges engineering needs with IT and enterprise tool owners to sustain a scalable, high-quality MBSE ecosystem. Responsibilities include coordinating toolchain strategy, developing integrations, and creating training

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and 5+ years experience in systems engineering, engineering tools development, software development, or integration.
• Experience developing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or supporting integrations between enterprise tools or data systems.
• Experience with APIs, data exchange, automation, scripting, databases, or similar application-integration methods.
• Ability to coordinate technical work across multiple teams without direct authority.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the MBSE toolchain strategy, environments, access, issues, roadmap, and user support.
• Lead pilots of MBSE toolchains (Cameo, IBM Rhapsody) and translate results into deployable capabilities.
• Develop, maintain, test, and troubleshoot integrations with GM systems (IBM DOORS Next Gen, IBM ETM).
• Work with Teamcenter Active Workspace and Teamcenter CAD; ARID and GM FIT.
• Define integration requirements for data ownership, traceability, configuration control, automation, and data quality.
• Create training, demonstrations, quick-reference guides, and onboarding material; act as the single-point technical contact.
• Lead program integration team meetings; manage budgets and document decisions; coordinate upgrades and improvements.
