Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Systems Engineer II in Colorado to verify propulsion systems meet customer needs. You will develop requirements, align with design teams and customers, and plan verification and qualification with a heavy MBSE focus.

Responsibilities include creating MBSE models of SRM systems, maintaining traceability across deliverables, reviewing test data, and communicating requirement compliance at program reviews. Must be eligible for a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Systems or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years applying aerospace systems engineering processes.
• Experience with MBSE and modeling tools.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, validate, and maintain system requirements.
• Build system-level qualification plans for SRMs.
• Track verification status through development and qualification.
• Review test plans/reports to confirm requirements.
• Maintain risk analysis and traceability across teams.
• Develop MBSE models and integrate with customer models.
• Communicate requirement compliance at program reviews.
• Create, manage, and train system engineering tools and processes.
