Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Systems Engineer II in Colorado to verify propulsion system performance and meet customer needs. You will develop requirements, align with design teams and customers, and plan verification and qualification with a strong emphasis on traceability and MBSE. The role requires a B.S.

in a related field, 2+ years in aerospace systems engineering, and eligibility for a Secret clearance. You will work with cross-functional teams and interface with customers to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Systems or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years applying aerospace systems engineering processes (design reviews, requirements validation & verification, failure and risk assessments).
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama.
• Experience with MBSE and Cameo.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.
• Ability to interpret and influence engineering drawings, specs, system requirements and test data.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and external customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
• U.S. Security Clearance eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Define, validate, and maintain program requirements across major projects.
• Create system-level qualification plans for SRMs.
• Track requirement verification status through development and qualification.
• Review tests and analyses to confirm requirement satisfaction.
• Support system-level risk analysis and closure of risks.
• Maintain traceability across engineering deliverables and cross-functional teams.
• Develop MBSE models of SRM systems and MBSE processes for the team.
• Communicate compliance status to management and customers at reviews.
• Integrate internal models with customer models and frameworks.
• Create, manage, and train system engineering tools and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
