Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a Digital Systems Engineer who blends Systems Engineering, Architecture, and Project Management to guide requirements and verification across the lifecycle. You will leverage MBSE to establish interoperability and oversee risk management within modeling environments.

The role emphasizes leading MBSE spaces, cross-disciplinary working groups, and automation scripting to generate ICDs and reports, with a focus on integration of toolsets and data models.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related STEM with 2+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, general science, or physics with 4+ years of core systems engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with architectural system concepts, BDDS/IBDs, and model-based configurations in Cameo or No Magic tools.
• Experience building template scripts (Velocity) to drive report automation and documentation generation.

Responsibilities

• Lead MBSE conceptual model space to capture requirements and establish end-to-end architecture and traceability.
• Lead multi-discipline requirements and architecture working groups to align development with milestones.
• Develop, debug, and implement automated Velocity scripts within Cameo to support report automation and ICD generation.
• Drive system integration by linking engineering toolsets and data models to simulate programs and digital ecosystems.
• Perform risk identification and risk management modeling within architectures to standardize tracking.
• Troubleshoot templates, validate syntax, and ensure high-fidelity report creation in model repositories.
• Foster teamwork across matrixed organizations.
