Job summary
IQE in Greensboro, NC is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair on Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) systems and related components, including wafer characterization equipment. The role works with a Senior Technician to gain certification and ensures proper spare parts and tool inventories are maintained.
You will contribute to testing work instructions and procedures, participate in the IQE NC Emergency Response Team, and take on additional duties as
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- Electrical and or Mechanical maintenance experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic troubleshooting and repair of MBE systems.
- Learns and perform basic scheduled preventative maintenance on characterization equipment.
- Maintains a general knowledge of all activities undertaken during the preventive maintenance and repair processes.
- Works directly with a Senior Technician to become trained and certified on equipment and procedures.
- Responsible for the upkeep and administration of spare parts and tools inventories relating to MBE equipment maintenance.
- Responsible for testing work instructions, checklists, and procedures related to MBE systems and related components.
- Participates in IQE NC Emergency Response Team
- Performs other duties and functions as required.
