Job summary
IQE, a global leader in compound semiconductor wafers and materials, seeks a Facilities Technician to maintain building systems and equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, support safe operations, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure reliability and efficiency across the site.
Candidates should have 1–2 years in facilities or technical roles, with an associate degree in engineering or related field.
Qualifications
- Experience in a facilities or technical environment.
- 1–2 years of facilities experience.
- Hands-on technical role background.
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility systems (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Operate and maintain HVAC, BMS, EMS, and general facility systems.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
- Safely handle chemicals and substances with proper PPE.
- Document work using computerized systems for traceability.
- Contribute to safety initiatives and ERT activities.
