Job summary

IQE in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Process Engineer to lead MBE epitaxy process development and day-to-day engineering support. You will design experiments, analyze growth data, and optimize recipes to minimize wafer loss and ensure material meets customer specs.

Responsibilities include cross‑functional coordination, reporting on order execution, and driving continuous improvement to boost yield and efficiency. Strong MBE experience preferred, with a focus on quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience in Process Engineering or equivalent manufacturing field.
• 7+ years experience in Process Engineering or equivalent.
• Qualification or 2-year/associate’s technical degree in Engineering or related technical field; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments in epitaxial growth (epitaxy) and interpret results.
• Correlate photoluminescence, XRD, Hall data with growth process.
• Tune growth process to achieve highest quality epi-wafers meeting specs.
• Coordinate orders with Planning, Production, maintenance and characterization teams.
• Own reactor/product and report on order execution.
• Lead Continuous Improvement projects to increase yield and efficiency.
