Job summary

Harvard University FAS Human Resources seeks an Assistant Director, Operations for Admissions and Financial Aid to lead Slate, PowerFaids, and SIS systems and data flows. You will oversee workflows, security, and collaboration across Admissions, Financial Aid, MBA IT,Technolutions, and partners.

The role requires translating business needs into scalable technical solutions, and coordinating with senior leaders to protect Level 4 data while improving efficiency and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five+ years of relevant experience in higher education, admissions, financial aid, operations, systems administration, or related field.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Experience with Slate CRM (Technolutions), PowerFaids, and SIS is preferred.
• Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations (FERPA, GDPR) and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic operations and systems across MBA Admissions and Financial Aid, aligning platforms with programs and cycles.
• Serve as technology lead for IT and Technolutions on upgrades, requests, and issue resolution.
• Translate operational needs into scalable workflows, forms, portals, reports, and processes across Slate, PowerFaids, and SIS.
• Lead cross-team planning for projects across Admissions, Financial Aid, MBA IT, and partners.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and advise on responsible use of automation and AI in Admissions operations.
