Maverick Gaming in Elko, NV seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, address guest work orders, and keep equipment operational. This full-time role requires troubleshooting, safety compliance, and the ability to lift and handle equipment daily.

The position offers housing options after 90 days, competitive hourly pay, and benefits. You will work days or swing shifts in a on-site setting with opportunities for skill development in multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, heating, AC, exhaust fans, cooling towers, chillers and boilers.
• Ability to perform repairs to hotel, kitchen and laundry equipment and maintain swimming pools to health codes.
• Must be able to operate power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong writing, communication and customer relations skills.
• Polite and courteous when interacting with guests.

Maintenance Technician – Elko

Pay Rate

Starting $16.00- $18.00/ an hour. Full Time. Days/Swing Shift.

Job Duties

• Basic Preventative Maintenance.
• Respond to guest calls and work orders.
• Log and follow-up on work orders and complete paper work.
• Repair any equipment that my break down or need replaced.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems.
• Must maintain a safe work environment for his/herself, co-workers and guests.
• Lifting and carrying is required on a daily basis. The distance and how high the material is lifted will depend on the job duty, which is being performed at that particular time.
• Possess skills (or quickly learn) safety, ppe, hotel locks, drain, snake, pool equipment, room pm, general plumbing, general electric, scissor lift.
• Skills, plus intermediate plumbing, intermediate electrical, garbage compactor, boilers, chiller, cooling tower.
• Skills plus backup generator, snow plow, w/4 wheeler, sweeper, forklift, backhoe, carpentry, mechanic.
• Skills plus HVAC certified, advanced electrical, advanced plumbing.
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
• Correctly collects, transports, and properly stores or disposes of trash, soiled linens, and biohazardous waste according to facility and departmental policy and procedure
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times
• Performs related and/or other duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be able to possess a valid Driver’s License.
• This position is required to have some knowledge in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, heating, air-conditioning, exhaust fans, cooling towers, chillers and boilers.
• his position requires the ability to perform repairs to the equipment in the hotel, kitchen and laundry areas as well as maintaining the swimming pools to meet health code requirements and general landscaping.
• This position must possess the ability to operate power tools and equipment following proper safety requirements
• The employee will be required to have good writing skills, communication skills and customer relations.
• The employee, at times, will be in direct contact with our guests and must be polite and courteous at all times.
