Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Hawaii seeks a Recovery Support Worker to engage women in the Women’s Way program and provide person-centered case management, referrals, transportation, and living skills coaching. You will support family recovery and facilitate engagement with services to promote stability.

Responsibilities include linking clients to services, transport to appointments, and helping maintain program records while adhering to contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma with at least 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health field.
• Associate’s degree in a human service field preferred.
• Must have a driver's license and ability to conduct outreach and home visits.

Responsibilities

• Support continued infant mental health and family support services through FTS or other family-strengthening programs.
• Reestablish family connections to sponsor/sober support and additional healthy, recovery relationships.
• Connect families to 12-step meetings, support groups, spiritual fellowships, etc.
• Identify with the client their family goals, anticipate and address stressors that might lead to family distress and pose as obstacles for achieving those goals.
• Establish connections for families to additional therapy services, medical care, substance-use treatment, housing, childcare and any other services that would support family stability.
