Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Elkhart, IN, is hiring Mattress Line Workers for the Laminated Mattress Department on 1st Shift (6am–2pm).

This role supports meeting daily production schedules and customer specifications in a safe, efficient environment, with starting pay of $23.93–$24.85 per hour. You will read labeling, box and label mattresses, operate laminator-related equipment, and collaborate with Quality Control and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• At least 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret labeling and production instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (team lift up to 90 pounds).
• Proficient with computerized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Produce mattresses per daily production schedule and customer specifications.
• Box, label and package mattresses to client specs.
• Read and understand labeling, operate laminator-related tasks and related equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and collaborate with Quality Control and Department Manager.
• Assist with inventory and learn various mattress configurations as needed.
