Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Pillow Department Machine Operator for 1st shift (6:00am - 2:00pm). You will operate assigned equipment and coordinate line production to ensure orders are produced on time with minimal downtime.

The role requires a High School diploma, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to stand 8–10 hours and lift up to 30 pounds. SAP experience is a plus; forklift certification is preferred. Carpenter Co.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Read and interpret a tape measure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate pillow department equipment to support production.
• Perform quality checks on materials and finished goods.
• Help with monthly inventory and daily production reporting.
• Assist with labeling, packing, and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
