Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor at our Elkhart, IN plant in the Bedding Department. You will supervise employees in manufacturing & loading dock, manage daily planning and scheduling, and ensure safety and quality in production.

The role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and PC literacy including Excel. Training on 1st shift for 4–6 weeks precedes transition to 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude to diagnose and troubleshoot machines/forklifts.
• Some PC background, good communication skills, read a tape measure, forklift training.
• Able to delegate duties and responsibilities effectively, and monitor multiple processes.
• Ability to function under pressure is essential.
