Job summary

Instructure, Inc. is seeking an Assessment Editor (Mathematics) to join our assessment content team and help shape test items aligned with state standards across grades.

You will develop, review, and revise items, collaborating with designers, writers, and editors to ensure quality and accuracy. The role requires deep secondary mathematics knowledge, 2–3 years of experience with assessment content, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in secondary mathematics or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience developing student assessment content products.
  • Mastery of mathematics curriculum expectations and state standards.
  • Experience with assessment management systems for tech-enhanced and traditional items.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined.

Responsibilities

  • Create, review, format, and revise test items aligned to state standards.
  • Review assessments for multiple grade levels and content areas.
  • Align math items to state standards for multiple states.
