Job summary

Cambium Learning Group is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Mathematics Assessment Specialist to develop and QA mathematics assessment content for early learners. You will ensure alignment with state standards, collaborate with content developers, psychometricians, and program teams, and maintain mathematical accuracy across materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
• 5–8 years in developing, reviewing, or supporting statewide or national educational assessments.
• At least 4 years of experience in K–2 elementary mathematics.
• Knowledge of state standards and assessment frameworks.
• Strong data skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Willingness to travel 1 week to 8 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and provide quality assurance for Mathematics assessment items aligned to approved specifications.
• Support the development and refinement of item specifications, scoring rubrics, scoring guides, and assessment frameworks.
• Review and apply state educational standards to ensure valid alignment.
• Review and interpret disaggregated student performance data to inform content decisions.
• Collaborate with item writers, editors, psychometricians, program managers, and clients throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure mathematical accuracy, developmental appropriateness, and cultural relevance of all assessment materials.
