GWMath Matters tutors provide quality on-site, small-group tutoring to 3rd through 8th-grade students in Washington, DC. Tutors build math skills with students while fostering meaningful relationships.

Regular training is mandatory, with sessions every Wednesday from 9:35-10:50am and one Saturday per month. Tutors must be prepared to tutor at least 90 minutes weekly and develop lesson plans and activities.

Qualifications

• Entry level position with little to no experience required.
• All training will be provided; tutors will attend regular sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, small-group tutoring to 3rd–8th-grade students in Washington, DC.
• Attend weekly Wednesday training from 9:35–10:50am or arrange a make-up with the Program Manager.
• Participate in one Saturday a month training.
• Prepare tutoring lessons and activities and tutor at least 90 minutes weekly.
