Job summary

AoPS Academy at Art of Problem Solving is hiring a Math Teaching Assistant to support instructors with the curriculum and work one-on-one with students. This in-person role is at the Lexington Campus in Waltham, MA and requires commuting to campus.

You will assist with grading, manage up to 16 students, and help students grasp advanced concepts while communicating clearly with staff and families. Evening and weekend shifts are available for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old or older.
• Strong math skills with ability to help students navigate advanced concepts.
• Experience with/interest in working with younger students strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Support Instruction: Assist instructors with curriculum and materials for advanced students.
• Student Support: One-on-one help during class activities and provide extra help as needed.
• Classroom Management: Help maintain an organized learning environment for up to 16 students.
• Assignment Support: Assist with grading and provide constructive feedback on student work.
• Build Relationships: Connect with students and staff to encourage learning and growth.
• Foster Learning: Promote critical thinking and academic curiosity.
