Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Math Teacher to design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and foster a joyful, inclusive classroom grounded in SEL and Restorative Practices.

You will collaborate with the Leadership Team and Instructional Coach to continually strengthen your teaching practice, advance equity, and serve all students with excellence and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching students with demographics similar to our KIPP Northern California community.
• Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution.
• Eligibility for teaching credential or permit (CPR certification prerequisite).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and rigorous classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Use culturally responsive classroom management strategies to ensure safety, belonging, and high expectations for all students.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build strong partnerships.
• Engage fully in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
