Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a Math Teacher to design engaging lessons, use data to guide instruction, and foster a joyful, inclusive classroom. The role integrates Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices to support all students in a safe, equitable environment.

You will collaborate with the Leadership Team and Instructional Coach to continuously improve teaching practice, with a full-time schedule on school sites and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
• Eligibility for a teaching credential or related permit is required (CPR may be needed for some permits).
• Experience addressing the needs of diverse student populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and long-term lesson plans aligned with KIPP’s academic vision.
• Analyze student data regularly to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, rigorous classroom environment grounded in Restorative Practices and SEL.
• Use culturally responsive classroom management strategies to ensure safety and high expectations.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and leaders to build partnerships.
• Engage in weekly professional development and Communities of Practice.
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
