Job summary

School Of Science & Technology in San Antonio, TX seeks an Interventionist Teacher to work with small groups of students who have gaps in Reading and Math, aiming to close the gap within a school year.

You will use direct instruction, progress monitoring, and research-based interventions, coordinating with general education teachers and delivering relevant curricula including PLTW/Honors/AP where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.
• K-12 teaching experience strongly preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI small groups for students at academic risk in reading and/or math.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to coordinate intervention.
• Implement state standards and PLTW/Honors/AP curricula and assessments.
• Prepare lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track progress with formal and informal assessments and update gradebook.
• Communicate student progress with families weekly.
• Utilize technology effectively to enhance learning and communication.
• Establish a consistent behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and student engagement.
• Participate in weekly meetings and after-school duties as needed.
