Job summary

Vanguard College Prep is hiring a full-time Math Instructor in the United States (Georgia). You will teach core math skills, monitor student progress with a phased curriculum, and organize schedules while delivering engaging, customized lessons.

The role emphasizes mentorship of middle and high school students preparing for college admission tests and success beyond. The ideal candidate holds a math-related degree, teaching experience (1+ years), a strong academic record, and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field (Master’s or higher preferred; open to those near graduation).
• Teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a community college or college-level tutoring center (1+ years).
• Academic history demonstrating high achievement (e.g., 3.5+ GPA).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.
• Access to a reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.

Responsibilities

• Teach and Inspire: Instruct small core groups of students in their math core skills to drive long-term mastery of topics and top ACT/SAT scores.
• Track Growth: Monitor your students’ progress using Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum, engaging students in individualized growth and improvement opportunities along the way.
• Organize: Model professionalism and strong organizational skills by replying to students in a timely manner, maintaining and updating student lesson schedules on our online platform, and holding students accountable for assignments.
• Innovate: Spearhead the development and creative execution of ever-evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
• Mentor: Guide middle and high school students with empathy as they navigate an increasingly competitive college prep landscape.
