Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a part-time Maternity RN (Day shift) at Jersey City Medical Center. The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, NRP, and a BSN or active enrollment, with at least two years of acute care experience in maternity or related areas. Must be able to work 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

with alternating weekends and holidays. EPIC is used for documentation. Benefits include Paid Time Off and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required; NRP certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or active enrollment in BSN program.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in acute care; maternity/newborn preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and intervene early as needed.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on nursing care.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Document care accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
• Educate patients and families and support discharge planning.
