Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Full-time Surgical Technician in the Maternity unit in Charlotte. The position involves night shifts from 7p to 7a, with a 36-hour work week and a pay range of $25.30–$37.95 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and current BLS certification.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent military training.
• Certification through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in aseptic technique and organization of supplies before, during, and after procedures.
• Supports RN circulator in patient prep, supplies, instruments, and specimen handling.
• Maintains room turnover and correct documentation of charges and sterilization.
• Monitors and documents sterilization activities and adheres to department policies.
• Participates in education, in-services, and performance improvement activities.
