Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool in the Atrium Health Union area. This role involves 2 x 12-hour night shifts per week (7p-7a) with every other weekend, and occasional floating to Atrium Health Union, Union West, and Anson.

The RN will engage in governance and quality initiatives, use the nursing process to assess and care for patients, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes while maintaining documentation in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains patient safety standards.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
