Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, CA is seeking an experienced Mother Baby Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team dedicated to high-quality perinatal care. The role provides intra-operative support, patient-centered care planning, and collaboration across disciplines to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

The position emphasizes medication administration knowledge, thorough maternal-newborn assessments, and ongoing care plan evaluation in alignment with policy and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current California Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
• Current BLS & NRP.
• A minimum of 1-year recent experience in specialty.

Responsibilities

• You will be knowledgeable of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
• You will perform a head-to-toe assessment on maternal and newborn and reassessments as per policy.
• You will formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• You will communicate appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, coworkers and physicians.
• You will consult other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs.
• You will coordinate and supervise patient care, as necessary.
• You will demonstrate an ability to assist physicians with procedures in the mother/baby area.
• You will interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
• You will maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.
• You will identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family.
