Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, CA is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Team. You will provide preventative and supportive care to each patient, advocate for families, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

You will assess patients on admission and as their condition changes, develop and modify the plan of care, review orders, and coordinate transfers or discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure in California as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum one year of recent NICU experience.
• National RN Certification preferred.
• BCLS required.
• NRP required.
• STABLE certification (within one year of hire).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients initially on admission to the unit and continually according to patient needs.
• Serve as an advocate for patient/family regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care.
• Develop, implement, and modify the patient’s plan of care according to progress.
• Demonstrate knowledge of disease processes and treatments relevant to NICU patients.
• Review physician orders and accurately transcribe to MAR; initiate STAT orders.
• Coordinate transfer or discharge planning with the health care team and family/SO.
