Job summary

The Mother Baby unit focuses on mothers and newborns postpartum, promoting a smooth transition home with family-centered support. The nurse works in a high-collaboration environment with a 6:1 ratio in this unit.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ASN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license for the hiring state; compact licensure as applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or completion within 30 days of hire; unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams and oversee care quality.
